ASSOCIATION OF JUSTICES OF PEACE GIVES THANKS TO GOD AT AGBOR.





The Association of the Justices of peace in Ika south Local Government area, has thanked God for the life of the state Governor senator Ifeanyi Okowa and for the members of the association.

Speaking shortly after a Thanksgiving service by the Justices of peace at St. Columba's catholic church Agbor, the chairman of the association and member Delta state board of trustees, Ambassador Chief Hetty Ajuebon Egbarin JP+, also commended the state governor for his prosperity agenda for all Deltans.

Ambassador Egbarin who said the association has a mandate to mediate in the affairs between the state and its indigenes, urged government to be more courteous in dealing with its citizens.

They prayed God to grant the state governor wisdom to continue to pilot the affairs of the state and for peace to continue to reign in every areas of the state. The Justices of the peace also urged members of the public to be law abiding in their daily activities and ensure that peace is the order of the day.

Following the incessant killing by rival cult groups, Black Axe and Vikings, some concerned citizens of Ika in Delta state, Nigeria, have lamented that the youths of the Ika land have reduced in numbers and pleading that the youths should have a re-think as it is detrimental to the growth and development of the Ika nation and Nigeria as a whole. In their words, “we don’t know where we are going to and when this evil of cultism will cease among our youths in Ika, because it has earned us nothing. It is painful and shameful that we are living in fear in our fathers land and fear of our own children whom the future of our community lies in their hands." " We weep because the future of Ika nation is in doubt with this failing youths that have identified themselves with cultism. This menace of cultism have led some of our youths to run for their dear lives and taking the risk of traveling through the Mediterranean Sea to European countries and have died in the process.
