Women wing of the PDP, Ika South Chapter , holds a Prayer meeting for the state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa

Women wing of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Ika South Chapter has held a Prayer meeting for the state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at the Party's Local government Secretariat, Mariere street AGBOR.

The L.G.A Women leader, Mrs. Bridget Irubor explained the need for a continuous prayer for the Governor so that he will not get tired in the course of delivering the dividends of democracy inherent in the SMART AGENDA. She also scored Gov. Okowa high, for his numerous development projects across the state despite the paucity of funds ocassioned by the current economic recession in the country.

Hon. Collins Bello, who hosted the women while addressing the meeting called on all Women in the local government to always engage themselves in politics. He promised the PDP at the local government under his watch will always encourage women active participation in politics according to him, " 'No woman, No politics".

DBS Asaba Sets Up "Back On Air" committee.

The management of Delta Broadcasting Service Asaba has vowed to overcome the natural disaster that befell the station and restore normal broadcast of programmes on both the radio and TV services within the shortest possible time. Following the incessant killing by rival cult groups, Black Axe and Vikings, some concerned citizens of Ika in Delta state, Nigeria, have lamented that the youths of the Ika land have reduced in numbers and pleading that the youths should have a re-think as it is detrimental to the growth and development of the Ika nation and Nigeria as a whole. In their words, “we don’t know where we are going to and when this evil of cultism will cease among our youths in Ika, because it has earned us nothing. It is painful and shameful that we are living in fear in our fathers land and fear of our own children whom the future of our community lies in their hands."
