OKOWA BURIES ELDER BROTHER

The remains of Elder Johnbull Fatimiro, elder brother to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa was interred (17/03/17) with the governor calling on Nigerians to reconcile themselves with God.
Speaking at a funeral service held in honor of the deceased at Agbor, Delta State, Governor Okowa enumerated the transient nature of life and emphasized the need for Nigerians to be closer to God.
Late Elder Fatimiro died at the age of 63 of cancer which the governor described as “slow death.”

While taking solace in the fact that his deceased brother reconciled with God before his demise, Governor Okowa emphasized, “though the pains were there, it was an opportunity for my brother to be closer to God and I wish that each and every one of us will reconcile ourselves to God.”
Cream of Nigerians, including prominent politicians and technocrats from different parts of the world including former Governor James Ibori; Senators James Manager and Peter Nwaoboshi; former Deputy Governor Sir Benjamin Elue; Edo State PDP Governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu; Mrs. Roli Uduaghan, Delta State PDP Chairman Barr. Kingsley Esiso; members of the National Assembly among others were in Agbor to sympathize with the governor.
Pastor Caleb Adegbite of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in a sermon, urged Nigerians to refrain from the life of sin to enable them to inherit the kingdom of God.
He also urged them to focus on the kingdom of God in whatever they do as the only way to gain eternal rest as promised by God in the book of Revelation.

ASABA THE Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of the ‘C’ Division, Asaba, SP Valentine Mbalu has been reportedly killed by his abductors 12 days after he was taken hostage by suspected Fulani herdsmen between Ekwoma and Umunede along the Benin/Asaba/Onitsha expressway. Recall that the unsuspecting Police Officer was abducted at about 4pm on the 5th of this month on his way to Asaba after spending weekend with his family at Agbor. A reliable source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the decomposing corpse of the DPO was found in Umunede bush yesterday. He disclosed that one of the suspected kidnappers, a native of Fulani who sells water Mellon at Abraka within the Asaba metropolis has been arrested.
